The Lee legacy of construction excellence began in 1935 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lee worked on construction projects in the commercial, industrial, municipal, highway and private sectors throughout the southeast. Currently, Lee operates as a General Contractor in the Carolinas under NCDOT GC License Number 40139, with a rating of unlimited and unclassified. Since 1997, Lee has been a wholly owned subsidiary of W.C. English, Incorporated in Lynchburg, Virginia and operates under the name of Lee Construction Company of the Carolinas, Inc.
Lee’s focus is the management and construction of bridge projects in the North and South Carolina area. Lee also has expertise in construction of pedestrian bridges, culverts, CIP walls, and bridge rehabilitation.
Over the years, Lee has acquired broad experience in the heavy civil contracting industry and is proud to produce projects on time, under budget and safely for the customer.
